FAQs

How often can I receive IV therapy?

Most clients receive IV therapy anywhere from once per week to once per month depending on their goals, lifestyle, and overall health. Some clients use IVs occasionally for travel, illness recovery, or events, while others incorporate them more regularly for ongoing support such as energy, immune health, athletic recovery, or NAD+ therapy.

How long do the effects of an IV last?

Many clients feel the benefits of IV therapy within minutes to a day after treatment. Depending on the formulation, hydration status, and individual physiology, effects can last anywhere from a few days to a week or more. Hydration, nutrient levels, sleep, and overall lifestyle all influence how long benefits are felt.

What is a GFE and why do I need one?

A Good Faith Exam (GFE) is a brief medical evaluation required before receiving certain IV therapies or certain injectable treatments. This evaluation ensures that the therapy is safe and appropriate for you based on your medical history, current medications, and wellness goals. At LUX, the GFE is conducted virtually with one of our licensed Nurse Practitioners and typically takes about 5-10 minutes. Once completed, it remains valid for one year.

Where can I receive my mobile IV?

LUX offers concierge mobile IV services throughout the Kansas City area. Treatments can be provided in the comfort of your home, hotel, office, event space, or other private location where you feel most comfortable.

We also offer in-office appointments at our treatment room located inside Method Chiropractic for those who prefer a studio setting.

Are there travel fees for the mobile service?

Travel fees may apply depending on distance from our service area and the type of appointment. Many locations within the Kansas City metro are included in our standard service range.

For locations outside our primary service area, a travel fee may be added and will always be communicated in advance when scheduling.

How long will my IV session last?

Most IV therapyappointments take approximately 45–60 minutes from start to finish. This includes time for your nurse to review your intake, start the IV, and administer the infusion at a comfortable pace.

Certain therapies, such as NAD+ infusions, may take longer depending on the dose and your individual tolerance, and your nurse will discuss this with you in advance.

For mobile visits, we recommend planning for about 60–75 minutes total, allowing time for setup and ensuring a relaxed, unrushed experience.

Do you accept HSAs or FSAs?

Many of our services may be eligible for reimbursement through your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Review your HSA or FSA plan documents or contact your plan administrator to determine the specific eligible expenses for your plan.

Can I receive a detailed receipt?

Yes, of course! We can provide you with a detailed receipt of your therapies, which you can submit to your HSA or FSA provider for reimbursement.
